Create your first catalog

Planned — not shipped yet

You cannot create a catalog yourself yet — there is no create flow in the dashboard and no API endpoint for it. Ask us and we will set the catalog up with the source and sub-selection described below.

A catalog is a named selection of products. Several products read from one, so you define the selection once instead of each app pulling from your shop separately.

You need a catalog if you are going to use Market Pulse, which requires one. Feed Management, Data Quality and Data Enrichment can use one but do not have to.

1. Choose a source

A catalog draws its products from one of three sources:

  • A connection — products imported from a system you have connected, such as Magento 2 or Shopware. If you do not have one yet, create a connection first.
  • A CSV file — uploaded by you.
  • Manual entry — products you add by hand.

2. Narrow the selection

When the source is a connection, you can optionally add a sub-selection so the catalog takes only part of what the source offers:

  • by language,
  • by categories,
  • by attributes (for example, filter on SKU).

This lets one source feed several focused catalogs — a "Benelux webshop" catalog and a "German marketplace" catalog from the same shop — instead of pulling in every product.

3. Import

Attlaz imports the matching products into the catalog. From there each app reads the catalog's products directly.

A project can hold several catalogs; switch between them with the catalog selector at the top of each app.
