Set up a catalog

Creating a catalog yourself is not available yet: the dashboard has no create flow, and the API has no endpoint for it. Ask us and we will set your catalog up, including its source and sub-selection. Everything below describes how that is configured, not something you can do today.

A catalog is a named selection of products that the Attlaz product apps work on. Market Pulse requires one. Feed Management, Data Quality and Data Enrichment can use one, but do not have to.

A project can contain multiple catalogs, so you can keep, for example, a "Benelux webshop" catalog separate from a "German marketplace" catalog and manage each on its own.

What a catalog gives you​

Once your products are in a catalog, you can:

  • Monitor prices — compare against competitors and see market trends (see Market Pulse).
  • Generate feeds — export your products to sales channels (see Feed Management).
  • Find data problems — surface missing, wrong and inconsistent values (see Data Quality).
  • Enrich product information — combine multiple sources and generate content with AI (see Data Enrichment).

Choose a source​

A catalog draws its products from one of three sources:

  • A connection — one of your configured connections, such as Magento 2 or Shopware.
  • A CSV file — uploaded by you.
  • Manual entry — products you add by hand.

When you create a catalog from a connection you:

  1. Select the source connection the products come from.
  2. Optionally narrow the products the catalog includes with a sub-selection:
    • by language,
    • by categories,
    • by attributes (for example, filter on SKU).

The sub-selection lets one source feed several focused catalogs instead of pulling in every product.

Import products​

After you pick the source and sub-selection, Attlaz imports the matching products into the catalog. From there each app reads the catalog's products directly — for example, Data Enrichment lists them for enrichment and Market Pulse matches them against competitor listings.

Once your catalog exists, switch between catalogs at any time using the catalog selector at the top of each app.
